Today, I want to talk about something that's close to every woman's heart - feeling good in your clothes! Fashion is not just about what you wear, it's about how you feel when you wear it. Confidence is key, and when you feel good about yourself, it shows in the way you carry yourself.

Think about how you feel going into an interview ready to boss it in a brand new fit, or strutting to date night wearing something that feels sexy to you or simply putting on your absolute fav combination to lift your mood on a low day. What you wear and how you feel in it matters!         

But let's be real, feeling confident in our clothes is not always easy. We all have days when we feel like nothing fits right, or we're not comfortable in what we're wearing. That's where body positivity comes in. Body positivity is all about celebrating yourself and your body, just the way you are.                                           

 

So how do we do that? Below are some tips:

1. Embrace your individuality and celebrate your perceived flaws as part of what makes you unique: Recognize that nobody is perfect, and accepting your imperfections can help you appreciate your unique qualities and build self-confidence.

 

 2. Wear clothes that fit properly and flatter your body type: Choosing clothing that fits well and complements your body shape can enhance your comfort and boost your body confidence by highlighting your best features.

 

 3. Experiment with different styles to find what makes you feel good: Don't be afraid to explore various fashion trends and styles to discover what makes you feel confident and expresses your personality authentically.

 

4. Focus on your favorite features and highlight them with clothing: Instead of fixating on your trouble areas, direct your attention to the features you love about yourself, and select outfits that accentuate and showcase those attributes.

Buying second-hand and high quality long lasting items also contributes to reducing waste and supporting a circular economy. 9. Compliment others: we rise by lifting others, when you notice the beauty in others and let them know it has an impact on them and also on you. Not only does it make the person you complemented feel great but it also helps you to see the beauty in yourself too. It sends a ripple of good out and who wouldn't want that!

Support ethical brands that prioritize fair wages, safe working conditions, and environmental responsibility: Look for clothing brands that prioritize ethical practices, ensuring that the workers involved in the production process are treated fairly and the environment is respected. Aside from making you feel awesome that you are doing good this also makes for interesting conversation points in sharing your clothing values and choices.

Invest in good quality basics that can be the foundation of any outfit: Having well-made, versatile essentials like a properly fitting pair of jeans or a classic white t-shirt can serve as the building blocks for creating various stylish and confident looks.                                                                                   

 

12. Accessorize to elevate your outfit with statement pieces: Enhance your outfits with accessories such as statement necklaces, colorful scarves, or stylish bags. These elements can add personality and flair, elevating your overall look and boosting your self-assurance

When you show care and love for your items it increases the gratitude and pride you feel wearing them.                                                                         

 

14. Avoid comparing yourself to others and focus on your own unique beauty: Recognize that everyone has different body types and styles. Instead of comparing yourself to others, embrace your own unique beauty and celebrate it wholeheartedly!
